Berlin City Secures Funding for New England Schools

Berlin City Auto Group has donated almost half a million dollars to local schools and continues to secure funding for more throughout Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.

​​Berlin City Auto Group has revealed its grant recipients as part of its employee-driven Drive for Education program. This forward-thinking campaign recently contributed a donation of $33,240 to sixteen Maine schools, $22,000 to eleven New Hampshire schools and $26,709 to twenty-three local Vermont schools. In total, the grant program has enabled the organization to donate $487,120 to schools across New England since its inception in the fall of 2011.

Maine schools rewarded by the Drive for Education program include Lewiston Public Schools, Oxford Hills Middle, MSAD 15, Congin School, Lyman Elementary, Windham Primary, Fred P. Hall, Saccarappa Elementary, Casco Bay High, Howard C. Reiche Community School, King Middle, Fairfield School, Deering High, Dyer Elementary, South Portland High and Bayside Learning Community. On December 13, 2016, there will be an award ceremony at Berlin City Toyota of Portland, 191 Riverside Street, Portland to honor these schools.

In New Hampshire, the Drive for Education program assisted Berlin High, Groveton High, Josiah Bartlett Elementary, Berlin Middle, Gorham Middle, Stark Village, Stratford Public School, Errol Consolidate, Brown Elementary and Hillside Elementary. A presentation ceremony will be held at Berlin City Automotive, 485 Main Street (Route 16), Gorham on December 14, 2016.

Vermont schools helped by the program this include Monkton Central School, Browns River Middle School, Berkshire Elementary and Middle School, Crossett Brook Middle School, Lowell Grade School, Morristown Elementary School, Hinesburg Community School, Johnson Elementary School, Dothan Brooks School, Franklin Central School, JFK Elementary School, Rick Marcotte Central School, Warren Elementary School, Albany Community School, Northern Adirondack Elementary School, Grande Isle Elementary School and Fayston Elementary School. All will be honored at a presentation ceremony at Berlin City Kia of Vermont on December 15, 2016, in Williston.

New England Schools Catch on to the Drive for Education Program

Each school must submit an essay to be considered.  All Applications are evaluated by Berlin City Auto Group’s Brand Ambassadors who lead the dealership’s community involvement campaigns. They represent a select group of employees who determine each school’s suitability while hand picking each one awarded.

Berlin City Auto Group has eight dealerships throughout New England. For each vehicle sold, a portion of the sale is put into the Drive for Education program.  A grand total of $487,120 has been donated so far.
